I finished working and popped up the allotment to check for any signs of life from the seeds we had planted. Whilst approaching I was admiring our excellent cleaning job we had briefly done on half of the greenhouse glass panels. We had cleaned it so well, or so I thought, that it looked as though there was no glass at all in some places.
I soon realised as I walked closer that there really wasn’t any glass in some places.
Three pieces were smashed on the floor. We don’t have the door on the greenhouse, we still haven’t got around to getting the glass for it. As I walked in there was stuff all over the place. Nothing missing. Apart from our seedlings that I was sure would of sprouted by now. At first I thought it was kids or maybe the horses. But actually I think it was the wind last night that may of done it. I think not having the door on let the wind in and it blow out 3 panels.
There must of been some strong winds last night, the cane bean towers we had made had blown over, the stakes for the fruit cage were Lent right over. Stuff had blown all over the place. Did I sleep through a hurricane or something?
Anyways I cleaned it all up, made a make shift door for the greenhouse, watered the beds in greenhouse containing carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, parsnips and garlic.
I must of checked the potatoes and onions 5 times whilst I was up there, its safe to say no sign of em yet!
