Yoga is something we really look forward to every week. Its not a secret that yoga promotes positive physical, mental and spiritual health.
We have looked at several blogs covering yoga, we found a lot of info out there covering the nitty gritty and the philosophy of yoga.
We had both tried various classes but never found a class or teacher that has suited us or inspired us to continue going.
One size does not fit all!
Three years ago whilst on a mission to improve her mental and physical health, Keener trawled the Internet for something to do of an evening involving relaxing, exercise and broadening her horizons.
She decided on yoga to chill out and kung-fu to toughen up and feel a little braver.
She excitedly told me of her plans, and I was right up for it.
No, we are not about to tell you we are now Kung-Fu experts inviting you to our Organic Kung-Fu School specialising in vegetable weaponry.
The class we went to was full of men, which was fine until it came to the moment we had to spar with each of them. We sorted it with the tutor that when it came to sparring we would spar together, as we both found it a little uncomfortable play fighting with strange men. Although we were made to feel very welcome we decided it was not for us. We lasted only three lessons. What we should of done is attended a female only class, but by this time we had been to our Yoga class twice and become hooked!
We have now been going for three years, we can both report feeling happier, healthier, bendier, stronger and having more self control.
Also we have had the most funniest times. Our teacher is a real inspiration and an odd-ball, the perfect combination. We really like odd-balls.
We intend to share what we have learnt from Yoga, and how we have applied this in our daily lives, but perhaps most importantly the laughs and some of the funny things we have learned and experienced.
