We are looking for your feedback….
January 29, 2008 by allotmentjunkies
We have just started blogging again after a break of four months. Upon our return we checked our handy wordpress stats and we were delighted to see that many people were still visiting our blog. We were pleased but perplexed. So we have written a short survey to find out a bit more about the interests and needs of people who stumble across our blog.
We would be most grateful if you could fill in our survey, and we will try to take these views into account. Thanks.

well…i did you survey, but also wanted to tell you l like everything in general.
I have you on a live feed so I know the day something is posted. I’m always up to date.
I was beginning to wonder if you’d be back at it and I’m so glad you are.
Won’t it be nice when spring gets here!!
It’s good to see you back, or, starting to come back…!
Me again. I started to take your survey, but found the multiple choices forcing me into answers that really seemed far off from what I’d say if asked the same questions. Maybe a lot of it was the wording, perhaps a boring old 1-to-5 rating would’ve worked better for me…
Anyhow, Allotment Junkies was one of the first small farm/garden blogs I found and started visiting regularly when I began daily-or-so blogging a year ago. I guess I liked the sound of the people (you guys!), and having pictures was important, ’cause my blogging is mainly about growing stuff and seeing what other people are up to.
The mental health aspect is stuff I wouldn’t normally be reading about, but because it was part of this blog (i.e. the blog = the people), I without thought gave equal attention to all posts. And I found some interesting info there that I probably wouldn’t have encountered otherwise. Particularly (predictably), posts relating to mental health and GARDENING caught my interest most.
The blog layout is fine, I don’t pay attention to blog design, beyond readability. I visit blogs entirely for the content: writing and photos. I don’t use feeds, I just come by from time to time. Being able to easily find the archives and search is important, mainly for catching up by reading old posts. To this end, sidebar items like top posts and recent posts can come in handy, but I usually just go by date. I can’t recall actually using search on a garden blog other than my own, but it’s good to know it’s there. Here, they’re both easy to find.
Oh, I always check the blogroll/links to other blogs list. Of course, I look to see if TFB is there :), but really, that’s how I find other interesting blogs. Nothing like word-of-mouth…!
Um, I think that’s it! Hope you get back to the gardening, and blogging about it, with a vengeance this season!
Hi Mike
Thank you very much for taking the time to write the feedback to us. Its nice to hear from the people who pop onto this blog.
We are full steam ahead on the allotment front after our winter lull. Now we’re getting stuck in again it seems ridiculous that we ever lapsed.
Off over to your blog now to see what you’ve been up to…
Cheers Keener and Beener
