Well it started in November, we decided we wanted an allotment. We chose our site close by, goods views, a well established and equipped site. In fact such a good choice that many had realised it way before us and there is a 2-3yr waiting list. We found this out by applying online to Bristol City Council.It was only a short application to fill in. We were told by email a few days later that our dream site was not available but another site had 3 vacancies and were available immediately.
We got sent a map and off we went to have a nosey. The map was a little confusing and we went trapzing off in the wrong direction. We eventually found the allotments – we could see them but we couldn’t get in! Brambles on all sides and the only access is through a big sturdy,high, metal gate. Bad news in the short term but will keep out naughty people who like to steal and break things!
